Neue Schule bits really make all the difference. They give a soft, consistent and comfortable feel that the horses relax into. Their product line offers a large variety of options for each type of mouth. Our personal favorite is the Tranz-Angled Lozenge Eggbutt Snaffle.

The classic Effol hoof product is our most used hoof ointment! It is our go to before rides in wet grass or baths, as it provides a water and dirt repellent film. 

The perfect daily hair care product! We have been using hair moisturizer for years to help us keep our horses coats healthy as well as repair dry, itchy skin. You can use on a dry horse as part of your grooming, just spray and curry in! Or, add to a wet horse after washing to help rehydrate. It does not leave a greasy residue and can be used daily without risk of tack slipping. We love it so much we purhcase the concentrate by the gallon! We also love that it is made in the USA.​ 

Not to be picky... BUT.. when you pick eighty hooves a day, you develop strong preferences! This is our favorite hoofpick for its size and durability. The handle is big enough to hold on to firmly while you dig out any mud or debris. It is comfortable on your hands when you need to go from stall to stall and pick each hoof. It is heavy duty and the unbendable steel pick effortlessly gets the job done. 

GG Equine makes the toughest and easiest to use hay bags for feeding horses outside. Our favorite is the HayPlay Slow-Feed Zip Bag in extra large. It allows us to provide ample hay overnight, in a ground level position to promote healthy eating, prevents waste and eliminates extra dust while making sure the hay can't blow away in the wind or be stomped into the ground by the horses. It offers a slow feeding solution that makes sure the horses don't run out while simultaneously  providing mental stimulation and enrichment. These bags are tough and hold up to daily abuse! For trailer travel, we like the HayPlay Slow-Feed Tie Bag in large. 

The Classic Leather Hybrid Halter is our go to halter for traveling! The hybrid halter merges the best of two worlds; horemanship communication from the rope halters and leather safety for breakaway while on the road or in cross ties! You can also customize them with a personal nameplate when you place your order. 

There are several Correct Connect products that we love and use daily. One of our horses favorites is their free motion breastplate. This breastplate attaches to the billets at an angle that frees the horse's shoulder and does not restrict movement. There are no leg straps that go to the girth so the breastplate moves with the horse and eliminates any potential risk of getting a leg hung up - especially when out on cross country or fox hunting! ​

Our favorite is the Kangaroo-Rawhide 5/8″ Hackamore with rawhide core — 16 plait with 32 plait noseband. We love transitioning colts into this hackamore after they are started in the halter. Martin Black is very particular about how his gear functions; the hackamore hanger plays a large role in that. Every hackamore comes with a hand-braided hackamore hanger. We pair this hackamore with Martin's 5/8" 22' six strand horsehair Mecate  

There are several Correct Connect products that we love and use daily. One of our horses favorites is their Pressure Relief Comfort Long Girth. This girth has added elastic to relieve pressure around the sternum and the thick faux sheepskin padding protects the horses from coming into contact with the elastic in sensitive areas along the rib cage. Also available in a short girth or a western cinch.

They function like a pair of workout pants, breath well in the hot summer heat while still providing a flattering appearance. They are four-way stretch with non-see thru fabric with two secure cell phone pockets, one on each hip. These breeches keep us cool, confident and comfortable in the saddle all summer long! 

Our favorite bridles are the Collegiate comfort crown cavessons, in both padded raised cavesson and the fancy stitched raised cavesson (pictured) for showing. These bridles boast a softly padded comfort crown headpiece along with a raised, padded browband and noseband. Constructed of quality European leather and highly polished stainless steel hardware, this bridle features matching rubber reins. The bridles come out of the packaging soft and buttery, they hold up to daily abuse and the rubber reins have the most comfortable feel to them. 

Our favorite headstalls for daily use from Paul Taylor Saddle Compnay is their 3/4" Doubled + Stitched Browband Headstall. They arrive buttery soft and ready for work! 

Our go-to entry level colt saddle is the ranch cutter from Paul Taylor. This saddle is lightweight, offers a flexible fender with shorter stirrups and provides a close feeling seat. We like using this as our first saddle on colts as well as for clients who aren't very tall and need a shorter length stirrup. We recommend it as an economy saddle to purchase to all our clients! 

Our favorite Le Mieux saddle pad is their Close Contact Square pad. It is designed to fit a forward flap jump saddle with a high wither cut and swept back profile. These pads hold up to day in and day out use and wash very well. The horses are comfortable in them, they don't shift and they breathe well. We love them in black for daily use and in white for competition. We also love using their Merino+ Half Lined Close Contact Numnah or their Self-Cool Close Contact Half Square for fox hunting.

Our top pick for horse clothing that has stood the test of time is the Horseware line. We use their Amigo, Rhino and Rambo turnout blankets as well as their fly gear. No matter the season, turnout or stable clothing, coolers or rugs, we have come to depend on the quality, fit and comfort of their products.
